Last Sunday i.e, 16th March, Google home screen flashed this, fortunately /& unfortunately rest of the world a.k.a my friends forgot to wish me.
Most prefer to celebrate differently on their 25th birthday so did I.
I removed the birthday notification from almost all social media like Google+, Facebook, etc. except Outlook & Skype. I just wanted to see how many actually remember my birthday. Wasn't expecting everyone in my circle or friend list to, but at least close friends to.
I've close to 900 friends in Facebook and few hundred in G+ circle. As I guessed very few remembered and wished. Total number of people who wished me didn't even cross 10, that's excluding my parents and brother.
Why are we so much dependent on this social media?
Do we need apps to remember close friends birthday or anniversary or other important events?
Its that difficult?
I'm not asking you to remember each n every ones b'day, at least try to remember close friends b'days. That's what matters.
